Top 5 Philippines Tourist spot

After my trips abroad, I still traveled around the Philippines. A lot of my later trips was a re-visit of places that inspired wanderlust the most in my early years of travel. In the process, I gained a wider perspective on places that truly make my country stand out from the rest of Asia.
This list includes my top picks for first-time travelers who want to start discovering beautiful places in the Philippines, and those looking to inspire their next adventure.




1. CORON
Municipality in the Philippines


Coron, officially the Municipality of Coron, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 51,803 people. It comprise of the eastern half of Busuanga Island, all of Coron Island and about 50 other minor islets stretching as far as Tara Island in the north-east and Canipo Island in the south. All these islands are part of the Calamian Archipelago in Northern Palawan that separates the South China Sea from the Sulu Sea. The main population center of the municipality is composed of Poblacion barangays 1 to 6, where the Municipal Building, the Municipal Legislative Building, and the Judicial Hall of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court are located. Its fiesta is held annually on August 28 in honor of Saint Augustine. It is the commercial capital of the Calamian Islands. The municipality is home to the Coron Island Natural Biotic Area, which is listed in the natural category of the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

3. El Nido, Palawan



El Nido is a Philippine municipality on Palawan island. It’s known for white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, a group of islands with steep karst cliffs. Miniloc Island is famed for the clear waters of its Small and Big lagoons. Nearby Shimizu Island has fish-filled waters. The area has many dive sites, including Dilumacad Island’s long tunnel leading to an underwater cavern.
The laid-back town of El Nido is a base for island-hopping tours, and kayaking trips to mountainous Cadlao Island, just across the bay. Taraw Peak can be reached by climbing steep, jagged cliffs for a bird’s-eye view of El Nido town and its horseshoe-shaped cove. North of town, the twin beaches of Nacpan and Calitang curve in opposite directions, featuring white sand and tall coconut palms. The cold waters of Nagkalit-kalit Falls are a popular swimming spot.


                    4. Sohoton Lagoon

Located in Bucas Grande Islands in Socorro, Surigao del Norte. Sohoton Lagoon is declared by the Philippine Government as a National Park covering a total area of 70 hectares. The park features mystical Sohoton Cove, amazing Sohoton Lagoon itslef and the picturesque seven islets. The lagoon’s entrance is the Sohoton Cove – a cove half-submerged in water and passable only during low tide. The lagoon have quite a number if caves to explore.


5. Ardent Hot Spring
Camiguin

The Ardent Hot Springs are one of real highlites on Camiguin Island! They are located only 10 minutes or 4 km by motor bike from the tourist beaches in Agoho and Yumbing, in the mountainside of the famous Hibok - Hibok Volcano, which supplies the hot and crystal clear water.
